The step that decides everything

Concrete Grinding and Surface Preparation

Diamond grinding is what separates a floor that lasts from one that peels. It is where our work begins.

A coating is only as good as its bond. Diamond grinding removes laitance, old sealers and contamination and opens the pores of the concrete so resin can lock in mechanically. Acid etching and light scuffing cannot match it.

We use dust-shrouded grinders with industrial vacuums, so prep is cleaner than you would expect. The result is a uniform profile ready for coatings, stains or polishing.

Real adhesion

A mechanical profile gives coatings something to grip.

Removes contaminants

Old sealers, laitance and residues are taken off.

Dust controlled

Shrouded grinders and HEPA-style vacuums keep the mess down.

Even surface

Levels high spots for a flatter floor.

Our process

How we do it.

Four calm, clear steps from first conversation to finished floor.

  1. 1

    Assess

    Check hardness, condition and contamination.

  2. 2

    Grind

    Diamond tooling profiles the surface.

  3. 3

    Vacuum

Dust is captured at the machine.

  4. 4

    Inspect

    We verify profile before coating.

Good to know

Grinding & Prep questions.

Why not acid etch?

Etching is inconsistent and leaves residue. Grinding creates a reliable profile.

Is grinding messy?

Our dust-controlled setup keeps most dust out of the air and your home.

Does it hurt the concrete?

It removes only the weak surface layer, leaving sound concrete.
