Concrete prep guide

Is your slab ready to coat?

What makes concrete ready for epoxy or polyaspartic: grinding, cracks, moisture and old coatings, plus an instant checker.

Five things that decide it

What your concrete needs.

Every slab is different. These are the questions we answer on every project.

A clean, open surface

Laitance, sealers, curing compounds and old paint must go. Diamond grinding does it right.

Sound, repaired concrete

Cracks, pits and spalls are repaired and ground flush, so they do not telegraph through.

Low moisture vapor

Moisture moving up through the slab can blister coatings. We test, then prime or choose accordingly.

No failed film

Peeling DIY coatings and thick paints are removed mechanically before recoating.

Joints planned

Control and expansion joints are treated so edges do not chip and cracks do not telegraph.

The right conditions

Temperature and humidity affect cure. We plan the install around them.
